Germanium Sesquioxide

Germanium Sesquioxide (Organic Germanium) is one of the ingredients of many medicinal plants, ginseng and other medicinal plants are rich in organic germanium, with a unique health function. Since 1971, a scholar synthesis the carboxyethyl germanium sesquioxide (GeCH2COOH 203), referred to as Ge-132 and confirmed having anticancer activity. Since then opened the study of organic compounds, for high efficient, low toxic organic germanium drug prelude. Germanium Granule is reprocessed by high purity zone refined Germanium ingot in the vacuum and clean workshop. Its purity is 99.999% min with size range of 1-40 mm. Sino Santech manufactures evaporation grade germanium metal granule, the size of 1mm to 10 mm pieces are in excess of 99.999% pure and can easily be used in vacuum chamber crucibles.

Germanium Metal

The world's largest producer of refined Germanium is China, which accounts for about 70 percent of the over 150 metric tonnes produced worldwide each year. Other major producing countries include Russia and Canada. High purity Germanium metal ingots are most commonly produced by upgrading germanium dioxide (GeO2) via a zone refining process. Zone refining germanium involves passing raw material through a hot zone that creates high purity molten metal. Impurities collect in the molten material and are pushed back as the germanium metal solidifies as it exits the hot zone.
